What is built, and what is next.
No version numbers and no release-note theatre. This page says what the app already does and what we are building after it, and it changes when the product does.
Built
Already in the app.
All of it is finished and working, though none of it is released yet. The three plans on the pricing page differ in how long they last, not in what they do — the one exception is the offline map packs, which the free trial leaves out.
- The comfort score, worldwide. Waves, swell and wind resolved against your course, every 30 minutes along the route, for a boat you set up once.
- The ten-day outlook. Every saved route scored for each of the next ten days and each departure hour, with forecasts that reach ten days ahead and refresh every two hours.
- Navigation, worldwide. Speed, course, next waypoint and next anchorage with ETA, the sea state at the boat’s own position, depth below the keel, distance to the nearest shore, fuel to finish and arrival notifications.
- The detailed nautical chart, worldwide. Depth bands, contours and soundings, seamarks with their light characters, terrain contours, anchorages, fuel docks and hazards.
- Places and weather, everywhere. Anchorages, marinas, fuel docks and the forecast work wherever your boat meets the sea, and so does the comfort score.
- Tides where they matter. Tide height at your arrival time, and the depth in the anchorage corrected for it.
- Nothing held back. Depth under the boat, live sea state and the hazards on the chart are in every plan, the three-day trial included. Only the offline map packs wait for a paid plan.
- Offline. Map packs put a whole region on the phone before you go, and the app shell and the tiles you have already looked at stay available either way. New forecasts need a connection.
- The app in English and Slovak. This website is in English, Slovak, and German.
Next
What we are working on.
Admitted rather than advertised. None of it is in the app yet.
- Sailboats. The comfort model is built around planing and semi-planing motorboats: no polars, no wind-based routing, no heel comfort. We would rather say so than sell you the wrong app.
- Tidal currents. Tide height is in. The current that goes with it is not.
- More languages. German, Italian, Croatian and Czech next, then Greek, Turkish, French and Spanish.

Bonasea changes continuously, so a list of dated releases would tell you more about our week than about your season. Two lists say it better: what is built, and what is next. When something moves from the second list to the first, this page changes and the app does too.
